Two: Does The Salary and Benefits Package Align With Your Expectations?
When you receive your written offer, study the salary and benefits package. Make sure it aligns with the discussions you had throughout your interview process, and more importantly, make sure you understand it. If you have any questions at all, or if anything seems out of line with your previous conversations, call the hiring manager immediately to get your questions answered before you accept. Make sure to not only study your pay structure and health benefits, but your paid time off, expense reimbursement, signing bonuses, etc., as well. HR teams should be happy to go over the structure with you, since they want you to be completely comfortable in accepting their offer.
Three: What Are The training and Onboarding Processes?
The first few weeks on the job will set the tone for the rest of your tenure. Getting off on the wrong foot can lead to instant dissatisfaction. Does the company have a plan to set you on the path to success? Don’t be afraid to ask what your first few weeks will look like and what your new boss’s goals for you will be. Some organizations believe in a sink-or-swim mentality, while others have a much more formal method of training. There are pros and cons to every philosophy, so be sure you are comfortable with their approach before you say yes.
