Meet Employee Spotlight Alex Dumont!
What is your personal mantra?
You can do anything, but not everything.
When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A Veterinarian – I have always loved animals and wanted to help them.
What does your morning routine look like?
My morning routine has changed over the last year. Probably much like everyone else’s. Pre-pandemic, I would get up at 5:00 am and make my way to the gym. I would work out for about an hour and a half. I didn’t do anything too crazy, get some cardio and lifting in, and then would head home to start getting ready to head into the office and start the day at 8:00 am. Now, my routine looks a lot different. My alarm goes off at 6:30 am, and I do some light phone scrolling until about 7:00 when I get out of bed and make my way to the kitchen to make some coffee and breakfast. Getting ready for the day consists of putting on clean leggings and a comfortable shirt, fixing my bangs, and maybe putting on mascara. Once that’s all set I log in at 8:00 am and start my day! During my lunch break, you can find me typically on my exercise bike or doing a yoga routine. The endorphins help get me through the rest of my unpredictable day.
What kind of activities do you like to do with your friends or family?
I love spending time with friends and family! In the summer going out on the lake and enjoying the water is where you can find me or playing corn hole (which I am pretty good at, I might add), I enjoy going out to dinner and trying new restaurants. I love music and before COVID would go to multiple concerts throughout the year.
If you were to write a memoir, what would the title be?
Earth to Alex!? (when I was little I would always zone out and that’s what my family would say to me to get me to focus on what they had just asked me… the zoning was never a phase).
What do you look forward to most when you walk into work?
Seeing my team!
What is your favorite thing about your job?
Knowing that I get to help someone make a difference in their life.
What do you find most rewarding about your job?
Helping people better themselves through employment!
What led you to a career in staffing?
Honestly, staffing found me. One day, I was looking online and came across a front desk position with Bonney Staffing, I applied, and within minutes, I was getting a call to schedule an interview. Four years later, I have advanced to Sr. Staffing Supervisor and am continuing to do the work I am passionate about.
What have you gained from working where you’re at?
I have learned and gained so much from working in Staffing, one thing for certain is confidence. I was almost a year out of college when I came to Bonney and just starting my career. There have been some bumps in the road, but I look forward to continuing to grow and advance within this industry.
