Reporting Injuries Involving Bonney Temporary Employees
In our industry, we all know too well that workplace injuries and illnesses occur. For every employer, the primary objective is to ensure that employees go home the same way they came to work: safe and healthy.
When the unexpected happens, do you know what to do?
If you had to stop and think (and perhaps broke out in a cold sweat), don’t fret! Below are simple steps to take (for the host employer and employee) to help manage an incident or illness.
- Step 1: Immediately notify the workplace supervisor and Bonney representative
- Step 2: Assess the need for medical care or treatment
- Step 3: Forward documentation to Bonney
- Step 4: Follow up
- Step 5: OSHA documentation
It’s also important to note:
- All accidents – no matter how minor they seem – must be reported
- Every type of incident/injury will have a different response
- Even the same types of incidents/injuries may have a completely different response depending on the situation
- That is why it is vital to know the details (who, what, where, and why) to ensure proper documentation, good communication, and a safe outcome given the circumstances.
